SCHOLARSHIP, BURSARY & AWARDS


The NBKA supports students in kinesiology and has different programs to encourage them including the annual student bursary and annual research poster competition.

STUDENT BURSARY

The New Brunswick Kinesiology Association is proud to offer again this year, the NBKA student bursary. The bursary aims to financially support university students who are pursuing a degree in kinesiology at a New Brunswick university.

Applications are due around the end of October. Award recipients will be announced during the AGM each year.

Scholarship Amount: $500

Eligibility criteria:

-Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick, Crandall University or the Université de Moncton.

-Member of the New Brunswick Kinesiology Association

The application should be formatted as a PDF, including:

  • Cover letter
  • Resume
  • An essay (maximum 2 pages) explaining:

-Interests and motivations for pursuing studies in kinesiology,

-Current plans for the future following graduation,

-Why you should be chosen to receive this bursary.

RESEARCH POSTER COMPETITION

The research poster competition allows students to present their current research at the annual conference in front of peers, professional kinesiologists, and experts in the field. Abstracts are due by the end of October.
